- גּוּדָלm. (גדל, v. אֲגוּדָל) thumb, great toe. (Cant. R. to II, 4 גוּדְלוֹ עליוכ׳ the childs pointing with his finger (comment.); v., however, preced. w. Y.Ber.I, 2c top עקב בצד ג׳ heel touching toe (in walking); Sabb.62b (expl. הלוך וטפוף, Is. 3:16).Pl. גּוּדָלִים, גּוּדָלִין, constr. גּוּדְלֵי. Sabb.151b ג׳ רגליו his great toes.
